The oven is now used for baking pies and bread, while some types of meat now require the iron baking station. In terms of new items, there’s a Butcher’s Knife, Thunder Stone, Crystal Battle Ax, Silver Knife, Bone Tower Shield, and Iron Looper. You can also name pets with the Tame Lox now having a purpose and there appears to be “something dark and mysterious that seems to be spreading across the plains …” Hearth and Home has several fan-requested features including the ability to plant seeds to grow more trees, a new Obliterator that destroys unwanted items, and sharing map data with other Vikings using the mapping table.
